Growth of the Game Grants Awarded

It is the mission of the Colorado PGA REACH Growth of the Game Grant Program to provide financial assistance to facilities within the geographic boundaries of the Colorado Section PGA, that employ PGA members or apprentices in good standing, to develop and/or significantly enhance Growth of the Game programs that will attract and retain new golfers.

 

This year, fifteen deserving PGA Professionals and their programs were awarded grants. 

 

Aspen Glen Club (Youth Golf Colorado Foundation)
Steve VanDyke, PGA
This grant helps fund “Golf in the Park” events.  In its’ second year, Golf in the Park deliver instruction in a fun, casual park atmosphere in the Roaring Fork Valley.

 

Aspen Junior Golf Foundation
Brian Dalla Betta, PGA
The grant will help fund their junior programs.

 

Cherokee Ridge Golf Course (Pikes Peak Linkers)
Todd Laxson, PGA
The grant will help fund their new junior program, Pikes Peak Linkers.

 

Cherokee Ridge Golf Course (Pikes Peak Junior Golf) Todd Laxson, PGA
This grant helps fund the Pikes Peak Junior Golf League. This program promotes and provides a competitive golf experience for junior golfers of Southern Colorado and to further their enjoyment and development of the game.

 

Cheyenne Shadows Golf Course
Paul Surniak, PGA
This grant will help fund the implementation of the Operation 36 program, a long-term family coaching program designed to create long-term engagement of the entire family in the game of golf.

 

Collindale Golf Club (Collindale Golf Academy)
Dale Smigelsky, PGA
The grant will help fund their junior programs.

 

Estes Park 18 Hole Golf Course
Mark Miller, PGA
The grant will help fund their junior programs.

 

Golf and Leadership Foundation
Phillip Linares, PGA
The grant will help fund their follow up programs to the Colorado PGA Golf in Schools program.

 

King's Deer Golf Club
Nate Vincent, PGA
This grant will help fund the implementation of the Operation 36 program, a long-term family coaching program designed to create long-term engagement of the entire family in the game of golf.

Overland Park Golf Course

The grant will help fund the continuation of their women’s instruction programs.

 

Pagosa Springs Golf Club
Dick Dorn, PGA
The grant will help fund their junior programs.

 

The First Tee of Denver
Scott Rethlake, PGA
This grant helps fund programs at The First Tee Chapter(s) as they promote life skills & leadership through the game of golf.

 

The First Tee of Green Valley Ranch

This grant helps fund programs at The First Tee Chapter(s) as they promote life skills & leadership through the game of golf.
